We believe the world will be a better place when everyone 'gives something back'...pay it forward!

There are people in this world fighting for their lives or living in a great deal of pain, each and every day. We'd like to help by raising funds for several great causes.  

Starting in the fall of 2011, thepigeoncoop.ca will be holding Charity Auctions. Every penny raised will be donated to specified charities, starting with Cancer Research, Movement Disorders (including Parkinson's, Tourettes, and Dystonia), and Lou Gehrig's Disease, chosen with the help of some of our family and friends. There are few people that haven't been affected by one or more of these terrible diseases; certainly, our lives have been affected by these terrible diseases, and ours is no exception. Together through donating birds and raising money we, as a community, can make a difference.

We have 4 birds and a carrying case, committed for donation so far! Thank you to all who have donated!

(*Please Note: Pictures of donated birds will be posted in the fall, as our breeding season is still in progress)

The first auction for charity will be for Lou Gehrig's Disease, in memory of Don Simpson. The father of a very dear friend, who passed away June 20, 2011. Please, let's make a difference in someone's life.
